Mountview Student Ministries exists to:
Create environments in which students can grow in their relationship with Christ by equipping them to Study God’s word and apply it. Serve in the local church, community, and world. Build authentic relationships with fellow believers. Develop a biblical worldview. By preparing them for Life after high school. Church leadership.
Element
Element is a place where students can grow in their relationship with God through biblical teaching, authentic relationships, games, and fellowship. Element meets Sunday nights during the school year from 6–8:30pm in the Student Center at Mountview Baptist Church. Element is for all 6-12 grade students. Element leaders are: Pastor Kurt Oberlin, Henry Lee, Jamie Cleverley, Rachel Oberlin.
Middle School D Group
The goal of middle school D–Group is to create an environment (atmosphere + Relationships + opportunities) in which students can become balanced disciples. Middle school d-group meets during the 9am service. Middle School D Group is for all students in grades 6-8. Middle School D–Group leaders are Michelle Marshall, Nathon Montgomery, Brooke Montgomery, Colby Richards and Amy Sherer. For more information contact students@mountview.org
High School D–groups
The goal of High School D–Groups is to create an environment (atmosphere + Relationships + opportunities) in which students can become balanced disciples. High School D-groups are for all students that are in the 9–12 grade. When will high school d–groups meet? Boys: Thursday nights 6:45pm–8:15pm Girls: Thursday nights 7pm–8:30pm For more information contact students@mountview.org
Student Impact
Student impact is for High School and College age students serving within the church. Student impact meets Sunday mornings during both services with additional opportunities throughout the week. Student Impact opportunities take place primarily on site and in the homes of adult d-groups. All high school and college age students can participate. Some of the opportunities for students to serve in student impact are: Route 356, Childcare, Sunday morning worship, Element.
