Those who aren’t so lovable. You get the picture. Mountview is sending a group to New Orleans on Monday, April 9, and they will return on Saturday, April 14. You are invited to serve. A week of labor and caring. You won’t forget the experience or the people. Christmas Eve is a special night in the life of Mountview when we gather together to celebrate the gift that came packaged to the world in the life of Jesus. It is incredible to think that God loves humanity so much that He would send His Son to come and dwell among us. A greater gift no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has ever conceived. It’s Time to Kick It Old School!

What: Kickin’ it Old School Vacation Bible School
When: August 1–5, 2011 from 9–11:30am
Where: Mountview Baptist Church

In a world that is always searching for the “next big thing,” some things will never change and can never be improved upon. God, His promises, His Word, and the Gospel are unchangeable, which is why the Go Fish Guys and Mountview invite you to KICK IT OLD SCHOOL!  Each day of VBS, our kids will learn:

* God is our Creator
* God is our King
* Jesus is our Savior
* God is our Truth
* God is our Rock

Come and join us in this 80s “old school” rock and roll concert environment brought to you by the Go Fish Guys!  We will start and end each day with a “concert” and “encore” time of worship. Children will then take their backstage VIP passes and their Bibles to explore all of the areas of Vacation Bible School.

During the summer of 2010, Mountview leadership began meeting with our own Mark Lecky to discuss plans for adding an elevator to our facility. Mark and his family have attended Mountview for the last 3 years and Mark and his company, Miller Lecky Architects, have worked with Mountview for the past 12 years on everything from the ramp to the preschool entrance to the renovation of our sanctuary back in the summer of 2007.
