Outreach ministry

To carry out our purpose of “making disciples,” the Outreach ministry team is focused on three core areas:

Bridge events

Bridge events are designed to provide a format for people drawn to a church-home and a relationship with Jesus Christ to interact with the church in a dynamic way.

Examples of Bridge events at Mountview are:

  • Launch Sunday
  • OSU tailgate and chili cookoff
  • Comedy night
  • Kidblast
  • Mountview community 5k
  • UA movie night

Welcome and assimilation

The Welcome and Assimilation team seeks to integrate people into the life of the church, to unite them with new friends, opportunities to grow their faith, and places to serve the Lord.

First, Welcome team members greet new visitors to the church. Next, the Assimilation team works in helping people find a place to serve (a service ministry) and grow (a small group). In this way, the church can continue to live Jesus’ words by making disciples.

Marketing

Our Marketing team facilitates communication between our church and the community, and promotes the activities of the church both internally and externally. A variety of communication techniques are used, including radio, print, and event-marketing.

There are a number of ways to get involved in the Outreach team at Mountview. In addition, a number of opportunities are short in duration so you’re able to serve and then continue involvement in other areas.
