Spiritual gifts ministry

“Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. If the foot should say, ‘Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,’ it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. And if the ear should say, ‘Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,’ it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.” (1 Corinthians 12:14–18)

Just as your body cannot function the way God designed it unless every organ is doing its part, the Body of Christ cannot reflect the plan God has for it unless each Christian does his/her part. Finding your place of service brings peace and fulfillment, creates strong and lasting relationships, and builds the Kingdom of God.

Our goal is to help you discover your unique gifts and the right place for God to use them.

Step one: seminar

How can I better understand who God has made me to be and the direction He wants me to be going? With a simple approach and proven tools, this Discovery Seminar will guide you to a greater fulfillment of God’s will for your life. You’ll discover:

  • Your God-given motivation
  • Your God-given abilities
  • Your God-given personal style
  • Your God-given spiritual gifts

Step two: consultation

Following the identification of your spiritual gifts, you will have the opportunity to discuss the results one-on-one with someone on the MAPS team. There are many ministry positions available at Mountview Baptist Church. The MAPS ministry team member is your companion as you connect with the appropriate ministry and service opportunity for you, based on your MAPS profile.

Step three: service

The goal of our MAPS ministry is service. Galatians 5:13 tells us to “serve one another through love.” For the believer, serving is not optional, it is a privilege. Many Christians want to serve and don’t know where they are needed. Many are not aware that when God calls you, He equips you. Now that you have begun to discover where your MAPS may lead you, take the first step and get involved.
