Route 356
Route 356 is Mountview Baptist Church’s Children’s Ministry where kids fifth grade and under learn about Christ and are encouraged to grow in a relationship with Him. The Bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will make your paths straight.” This is what we emphasize in Route 356 ministries, trusting God with everything and leaning on His wisdom. Route 356 includes small group time and large group praise and worship time.
Children’s Discipleship Groups
In Matthew 28: 19-20, Jesus tells the His followers to “go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Mountview has committed itself to being a church that makes disciples, and in our children’s ministry we feel it is vitally important to build a firm foundation built on the Cornerstone that is Jesus Christ. When your child arrives for Route 356, they will join a Discipleship Group, where they will study God’s Word and learn how to apply it to their own lives; learn prayer; commit scripture to memory, and reinforce the truths taught from the Bible in large group worship in a fun way.
Children’s Worship
Creation Station is the large group worship environment for preschoolers (age 3-5) at Mountview. During Route 356, our preschool D groups will come together in the Creation Station for 20 minutes of praise, worship, and lesson time. In Creation Station as well as Preschool D Groups, we work on teaching little ones that God Made Me, God Loves Me, and Jesus wants to be my friend, forever.
Discipleship Dock is the large group worship environment for elementary students (grades K-5) at Mountview. During Route 356, our elementary D groups will come together in Discipleship Dock for 20-25 minutes of praise, worship, and lesson time. In Discipleship Dock as well as in D Groups, we work on teaching children to rely on God for 1. Wisdom- I need to make the wise choice; 2. Faith- I can trust God and Jesus no matter what; and 3. Friendship- I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Nursery
Mountview’s nursery is specifically designed for children under the age of 3, and begins the foundations taught in Creation Station, that God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend, forever. Our nursery volunteers are trained in both First AID and Infant and Child CPR, and are committed to showing God’s little ones how much He loves them and how special they are. Mountview also offers a cry room in adult worship for parents not ready to place their child in the nursery.
Kidcheck System
Mountview utilizes a secure, web-based check-in/check-out system for our children called Kidcheck. Click here to register your child in our Kidcheck system. You may also register on-site at our self-serve check in kiosk.
