Thanksgiving Dinner and Food Drive
Don’t miss this annual feast and time of fellowship on Sunday, November 22 at 6pm in the fellowship hall. Our hospitality team will provide roast turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, beverages, and table settings. We ask that each family or individual bring a side dish or dessert (able to serve at least 10–12 people) to share with everyone as well. Please RSVP to office@mountview.org.
This year we will be collecting non-perishable items to donate to The Salvation Army in Central Ohio. Items will be collected during the evening of the Thanksgiving dinner. All non-perishable items are welcome, however, the following items are greater needs currently: boxed cereal, oatmeal, canned greens, pasta and rice mixes, canned beans, canned chicken, powdered milk, baby food, diapers, laundry detergent and dryer sheets.
Fall Retreat Registration
What: 2009 fall retreat for all Middle School and High School students
When: November 6–8
Where: Heartland Retreat Center
Cost: The total cost to each student is $90. To register for this event, please turn in an envelope with a check (payable to Mountview Baptist Church) and an updated medical release form to either Pastor Kurt or Jamie Cleverley on or before October 15. Prayers and Squares Quilt Retreat
What: The 2009 Prayers and Squares ministry quilt retreat
When: Friday, November 6, 6–9pm and Saturday, November 7, 9am–4pm
Where: Mountview Baptist Church, fellowship hall
Who: People who have quilting and sewing skills, as well as those who do not
Objective: Complete 10 quilts for distribution

Discovery 4 Kidz Class
Discovery 4 Kidz: Sundays, 4–5pm, October 4–November 8, 2009. Discovery 4 Kidz is a 6-week class designed for children who want to take their faith to a deeper level. In Discovery 4 Kidz we will explore what a personal relationship with Christ looks like, why we get baptized, and what it means to serve God in ministry. Any child expressing interest in baptism should attend the Discovery 4 Kidz class. To register your child please contact Sarah Platine (children@mountview.org).
